This Season''s City Venues

Post  vonryan on Sat May 16, 2009 3:57 am

Just to give everyone a head's up so they can plan ahead with rp and storylines.....

This season we will be having the 'North American Hometown Tour'.

Every city visited this season will be the hometown of a UNWA wrestler(s).

Take a look at the list and see if your hometown is listed.

Sorry, but obviously, I couldn't fit in everyone's hometown this tour.

We should have a match for you when we are in your hometown so rp away with a hometown fan advantage!

Fri May 22 Vienna, Austria
Sun May 24 Ottawa, Quebec, Canada
Fri May 29 Detroit , Michigan, USA
Sun May 31 Washington, D.C., USA
Fri June 5 Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
Sun June 7 Charlotte, North Carolina, USA
Fri June 12 Biloxi, Mississippi, USA
Sun June 14 PPV location TBA

Let me know when the UNWA will hit Cleveland, OH. That'll take care of Bruiser Bob and me at the same time.

DD

Oh, and BTW, Pittsburgh has an "h" at the end.

Cool, the whole Pittsburgh vs Cleveland rivalry will have to be played. So either I'll have to face Bruiser or Damien Darkness when we hit Pittsburgh. Anybody need any background on Pittsburgh for RP purposes, let me know.

Here, of course, is the obligatory image of Pittsburgh. If you find another image you want to use, feel free to use it.

That image of Pittsburgh is way too clean. There should be soot, grime, and clouds of steel mill crap all over the place. They don't call it Sh*tsburgh for nothing Twisted Evil

Cleveland. Its not just a cartoon character's name on The Family Guy! Razz

I'll put this on the list for next season.

You know I think PittsburgH is close to Bob's home of Niles, OH?

So...that's how it's going to be Damien. You ever wonder why there are no pictures of Cleveland around. Just remember, we weren't the one's who set our river on fire multiple times. Also, there is a reason why Cleveland is called the Mistake-on-the-Lake. tongue

VR, Niles is about 1.5 hours from both Pittsburgh and Cleveland, so since Cleveland is in the same state (and is better), I'd call Bob from Cleveland.

Mauler, you're right about the lake and the fire (although that was quite a while ago and Lake Erie is quite swimmable now). However, Cleveland has a lake, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and quite a few other niceties. Pittsburgh has three dirty rivers, empty husks of warehouses from glory days past, an airport that's so far away from the city that it might as well be in Harrisburg, and Iron City beer (which deserves a post unto itself). Nuff said.

Von as a Browns fan I am offended by being in the same sentence as Pittsburgh. Very Happy

Just did some quick Google Mapping

64.6 mi – about 1 hour 21 mins to Cleveland Browns Staduim

79.9 mi – about 1 hour 28 mins to heinz field

Yeah, Bruiser, you strike me as one of those guys who sits in the Dawg Pound in December and throws bones at opposing players. I may have to dispense a little Steeler justice on you for that Laughing

There ya go, then, Mauler. Looks like Bob would prefer to be thought of as Cleveland for his hometown. Although I'm not a Cleveland native (born and raised in New Jersey), I've lived about 20 miles southeast from Cleveland for a year, now, so it's fine as my hometown.

Honest truth, I don't mind the Browns or the Steelers...I'm a Giants fan.

Damien,

It sounds like we need to get our Wrestler Scores a little closer together so that we can have an epic match when we get to Pittsburgh. Something along the lines of a River match (first person thrown in one of the rivers loses) if that is OK with the powers that be.

Washington D.C is a homecoming for Devastator X, where he played for a professional football team, mentioning no names. I'll try and think up something entertaining for that show.
