Detroit Michigan (AP) - It was reported that new heavy metal record company, DevaMetal Records is set to release their first ever compilation album to support the growing professional wrestling organization, the UNWA. Like most professional wrestling organizations it is customary for wrestlers to have larger than life entrances, with fiery displays of pyrotechnics, and boisterious entrance music. Usually wrestling federations will write and produce their own music to ensure they keep costs to minimum, avoiding disputes in compensation with independent preformers. DevaMetal Records has gone away from this standard practice and has recruited some fo the worlds foremost heavy metal and rock bands to complete this amazing project.
In an official release this week from their corporate office in Detroit, the subject of mega-rock band Kiss' smash hit Detroit Rock City, president and CEO of the company, Jason Davis, former professional football player, stated the following.
"It is a great moment for DevaMetal Records. For the past three years we've worked to make heavy metal a mainstream music outlet again. We have signed the worlds best talent, and with this new project we hope to showcase these under appreciated talents and give them the recognition they deserve. I personally see no greater platform for this project than the worlds fastest growing professional wrestling organization, UNWA."
As DevaMetal Records expands it's listening base, the company has admitted that this project is still in the formation stage, and several details have yet to be settled. The company has a projected release date of mid-summer or early fall depending on legal negotations with the UNWA and the musical talent contained on the collaboration music cd.
