Ok..
I really need some advice here.
I turned lvl 10, on one of those automatic, trainer seeks you out.
and I can't win..
I keep loosing each and every match more or less..I'm way out of this league..
Soo I'd appriciate if someone looked over my wrestler, and told me what I can fix, do to get things straight.

I'm not an expert in this, I did some major mistakes with Chatty's build but on the other hand they tought me something.

To me it looks at first sight that the biggest problem is your stamina being too low. Also I don't see any stamina reducer on your wrestler, so Lightness might be a useful skill.

I agree on first look, it appears your stamina is way to low to compete at level 10 on an equal footing. You may also want to sell your advanced techniques and re-do them, having level one across the board doesnt really help your wrestler but if you pump it all into 2-3 skills (particulary increased resistance) you will feel the benefit.

Also try and up either block or dodge but one much more than the other, I say leave block where it is now and only increase dodge for the time being.

You need some stamina reducer as well big time! Wink

Hotshot, I looked at your wrestler and your stamina seems too low also as you haven't bought the "increased resistance"-advanced technique. Especially since you have gone for the submission boost ups, your own moves require a lot of stamina.

Yellow Girl: Your build seems to be pretty much similar to El Lobo's at first glance. Again more stamina and Lightness is a great skill for stamina reduction.

I've noticed that stamina seems to be pretty much everything in this game. I have 561 stamina and a stamina reducer of 30 making for over 700 effectice stamina and it still isn't enough for me. Every time I'm able to get a new level of increased resistance, the power of Chatty goes up a lot. Damage resistance is another very important stat.

Ok, edited what I can on the wrestler...
Lets see what he's capable of now..
More stamina, more resistance coming up as soon as possible.

I somewhere read that the stamina should be around 500 if you're level 10-11 and at least 600 when you reach level 12.

Although this isn't true for everyone and depends on build, this should give a rough number to those out there.
BTW, don't worry guys, no one can see another peron's Stamina REducer, it is always invisble for other people.

The main trick in TWG is to concentrate on special points in a build and keep them up. AFAIK the most important stats are:

Stamina (by far the most important)
HP
Damage Reducer
Damage Increaser

and one of Block / Dodge.

This is where most things come together. Having a tight set of advanced techniques to concentrate on is a first step in increasing your chances to win, the rest depends on class, build, finisher and -very important- move set.

I wrote a short essay of the best things to do if you're a technican, here goes the link:

TEchnique - How To

It surely isn't perfect, but it should give you a rough idea, although some facts are wrong (as stated in my last link in that post)

Thanks Kaluani, I didn't know that stamina reducer is invicible. One always learns new things here. Very Happy

For me the 600 stamina seems to be too low (I have too low DR also) for too reasons:

1. Tech wrestlers eat me alive with their sub moves.

2. Some of my moves do so much damage they eat stamina like hell.

Well, I can't see your stam reducer, and you obviously have one Wink And it's the same as with AT, as far as I know.

And as I said, these are only rough numbers I read somewhere else, and I am sure they differ a lot depending on someone's build.

Since we are discussing builds....

I've read the forums and no one seems to agree on which is better:

1. Build up more of one of: Dodge or Block. (probably best for techs and speeds)
OR
2. Build up Dodge & Block equally.

I tried #1 but it didn't seem to do much good. Then I started to level up my block to catch up with my dodge and I've noticed a definent difference. I do seem to be dodging/blocking alot better now.

Anyone else have any knowledge or experiences to contribute to the old dodge/block debate?

Personally would say its a mistake to ignore one totally in favour of the other, for example

Block 0
Dodge 26

But I do think that one should be giving more concentration, for instance my block is double my dodge.

Block 31
Dodge 14

But I agree I don't think this has 100% agreement across the board!

For me block=dodge about 20 in both has worked pretty well. Haven't tried the other way, but will with Jimmy (my second wrestler, currently sitting at level 2 executing his 400 adrenaline finishers which do absolutely no damage at all).

I think the old argument about this is
1: 20 block, 20 dodge => 1-0.8^2=36% chance to block/dodge
2: 40 dodge, for example => 1-0.6=40% chance to block.
This has the problem that getting one skill to 40 costs 40*41/2=820 skill points while getting two to level 20 costs 2*20*21/2=420 skill points. Also training speed and technique is slow if you aren't a speed or tech wrestler - so it'll take a long time to get them high enough and there are other skills to use points in both pools. Also 22 dodge and 23 block would give the same effeciency as 40 dodge for 259 skill points. Of course, advanced techniques make raising block/dodge somewhat easier, but there are more important advanced techniques IMO.

But that is speculation, as I don't know how block/dodge works. So it depends on if 1 and 2 are even near the correct mathematics of blocking/dodging.

(As you can see, I've spent a lot of time thinking about this - university level mathematics education finally paying off Wink )

Ah, thanks for the reply Leon and Silent.

Yep, keeping ones block highest for a tech is best for someone like Leon no doubt.

But when you get a non-tech or non-speed wrestler, Silent's post seems to point towards having an equal dodge/block saves skill points in the long run and is the best bet.
