| Hi All, I would just like to make everyone aware that if you would like a special ending to your match (i.e aftermatch beatdown etc) then from now on I would ask you PM me or the VGM with the exact text you would like to add, along with confirmation that your opponent is also happy to go along with this. Before now I had been adding my own special endings however I do realise that sometimes this does not fit with a characters plans and I apologise if I have upset anyone due to this.... KR

| While I can understand the reasoning for this rule, particularly since it will lessen the amount of work that the people putting together the shows will have to do, I think part of the fun of some of the angles is the surprise element involved. Another thing to consider is that run-ins and beatdowns are big part of wrestling storytelling, but at the same time, most people aren't particularly interested in having their characters being dominated. But say, for example, Revolution people wanted to attack Captain Parkes during his upcoming match with JMac, they would have to get his permission, and then one of them would have to write it. Now, I can guarantee that the attack will go rather differently depending on who writes it. In addition, it then becomes an issue for Captain Parkes as far as suspense goes. Instead of watching the show, wondering what's going to happen to his character, is Revolution going to interfere, is somebody going to help him out? Which side will stand tall? It now will just be a matter of watching the show and waiting for the part where he knows he's going to get attacked by whoever, they'll hit 3-4 moves and then leave. So the suspense is eliminated.
Do I have a solution? Not really, but I think this rule is a bit too far in the other extreme.
My suggestion for the rule would be something like this: Characters do not show up unless the GM or VGM's get a PM about it. So, going back in time, say Revolution decides to interfere in Li Vs. Ruuto. The only characters that come out, would be those that sent a PM to say "I would like to attack Bruise Li" In addition, say there is a beatdown occuring, the only people that would come out would be the ones that send a PM saying "I would like to save Bruise Li" or "I would like to stop Revolution interference." Then when the time comes, whoever's working on that match can see everybody that is involved, and decide the outcome appropriately. To minimize the extra work that this might entail, a solid deadline would be good, anything after that deadline is only used at the discretion of whoever is putting the match together.
Things this accomplishes: #1: Keeps the element of surprise. #2: Creates a greater need for communication amongst the wrestlers in factions. Because, going back to the example, say Bruise is getting beat down by 3-4 Revolution members (It's hypothetical, as we all know they'd need like 7 or 8 of them...but anyway) and none of the anti-revolution folks sent PM's saying that they would stop the Revolution, or that they would save Bruise. Well, Bruise would be in for a bad time, and this can create subplots and so on. #3. It would give people a way to participate, even if they aren't scheduled to wrestle, they could at least think about where they would like to make appearances and so on.
The downsides to this approach are few, but they are significant. #1: More work for the writers, as they have to look at the various messages and see what people want to do, and decide how it all plays out. #2: There is a risk where this would lead to 32 people becoming involved in each match. Which, if that does start to become a problem would be resolved by a simple restriction of how many matches people can interact with. Like, maybe 1 or 2 times.
Anyway, just wanted to provide an alternative.

| I agree with what you have suggested there B L. If I can make a suggestion to add onto what you said, in cases where 1 - 5 people want to get involved in a match, be it before or afterwards, they basically just PM the GM or VGM and let them know their intentions. In cases where more than 5 users want to get involved, their say becomes moot, and what we should have as a result then is a 'pier 6 brawl'. That way, everyone gets in on the action but it's all dictated by the GM or VGM's. | |

| Ok, having a re-think about this one...so new rules same rules apply as above, i.e you must work out/agree and write the special ending before it is posted....unless If you add your wrestler name to this topic you agree the following - That for the duration of the season, your wrestler may be the attacker or the attacked in a special ending
You may not be aware of the special ending
That if you request to add a special ending against someone else on the list, and they do likewise, a decision will be made on which ending to go with.
You can not take your wrestler off the list until next season
A special ending may not always be granted, you will still be asked where possible to provide the text of a special ending. p.s this could work...or it could be a disaster! lol KR Leon

| You can put Bruise Li on this list.
But not Master Swee, with the exception of people trying to attack him, and he whoops up on them. I've always pictured him as Pei Mei (from Kill Bill) or any of the Wire-Fu martial arts films, and so just having some wrestler beat him up would break the logic of the character. On the upside, he's not one to run in to save his student (He's got to learn for himself), unless there is some dire threat to his long term health.
