Damien Darkness is found in the boiler room, looking at his strange symbol on a chain. El Cartographer is sitting in a chair with a dazed look on his face, still in the thrall of the Lord of Evil.
"So, cartoon map boy, you won your match after all. Whether it was fate or luck that allowed you the win is of no consequence, since I had promised you your soul back with a victory. I may be evil, but I'm a man of my word."
Damien Darkness waves the symbol about and watches El Cartographer's eyes clear as he comes back to himself, although obviously still woozy from the experience.
"You are now your own man once again, but I still remember the puppet master insult from the other week. While I was willing to give you back your soul, I'm not quite willing to forgive the insult."
The Lord of Evil picks up the still groggy form of El Cartographer and runs him into the wall of the boiler room. Damien Darkness then takes his trusty brass knuckles out of his tights and hits El Cartographer across the head, leaving him in a bloody heap in the corner. As Damien Darkness walks from the boiler room, he turns towards the mess on the floor and utters three words.
"You're forgiven now."
