| As an off shot of the "Age old question" I just thought i'd see what everyone does for a living (Work) and for those of you who are still at school/college/ Uni what your studying .
I'll start , Im a support worker with a charity called MENCAP (Britians second largest health care provider behind the N.H.S) that helps people with learning disabilities get the most out of their lives and before that I was a secondary level Humanities teacher who also ran an off license on the side (yes back then 75 hour weeks where standard for me)

| I like Aquilus' job..."Stoned Fruit Boy".
I'm a Toxicology Study Director for a contract research laboratory. I help clients decide what type of study they need to run to get their drug considered safe by the government, then write the protocols, oversee the work and write the final reports to be submitted for governmental review.

| I'm writing a PhD-thesis in theoretical physics and also do some teaching at the university (once a week). So, now that I think of it, I have no contact with "the real world" - none what so ever. So this question really isn't for me... | |

| I was a baker/bakery manager for a long time with two major UK Supermarkets but the 50+ hour weeks and the long drive frazzled me. I now manage a team of 4 team leaders who have 60 or so agents working for them, and we collect money from those who miss there credit card/loan payments...(although not the hardcore collections side of it) I also am the liasion point between the company I work for and the client who we are the 3rd party processor for...... don't hate me. | |

| What do I do in Real life ? Difficult questions, even if it wouldn't appear so. First of, i study - english and philosophy with the goal to maybe one day become a teacher or in any other way clever guy. Second, I work for an estates company (you have to earn money somewhere ) and during my work, I already have gained some titles in that direction, which leaves me with good work and strange working hours sometimes (most often people do move houses in the weekend or after they finished working) and meeting really strange people from time to time... Actually, my main problem right now is to decide. Both takes up a lot of time and doing both at the same time is a bit of a problem. I earned more then enough formal titles in estate-stuff to work in a pretty good position, but my heart goes with my studies. As usual, it's money Vs. what you like and so Oh, and of course it's four more years of studies against starting right now. So, I can't really say what it is I'm actually doing, because I work between two things If you would ask which one is my main job or interest, i couldn't answer it and would have to say "Neither one..." | |

Nuclear bombs and viral weapons in the 11th grade? Sounds dangerous. But I can understand that - after all, everything involving nuclear fission and/or fusion make nice and exciting toys. Viral weapons are a bit out of my territory, but I guess the same goes for them too...

| im the co/manager (wedont this assistant manager stuff) of a busy city pub. So my hours change from week to week depending on how busy we think we are going to be. My shifts can be anything from a 9am-3pm easy morning or a nightmare saturday 8.30am-1.30am! i normallty only do 50-55 hours but when the other manager goes on holiday i have to pull a 110 hour week. for as long as he is away, and vice versa.
Debating weather or not to buy my own, but with the current economic climate prob not the best idea!!
