Damien Darkness and his poetry

The lights dim and Damien Darkness appears from the darkness at the top of the ring ramp.

"Mauler! I found out that we will fight for the number 1 contender position for the hardcore belt. I don't really know you other than your poetry, and to tell you the truth, I don't really care. I've been itching to have that hardcore belt around my waist for quite a while and you won't be stopping me. However, in honor of our match, I've written some of my own poetry just for you."

Damien Darkness pulls a piece of paper out of his pocket and looks out at the crowd.

"I want all you idiots out there in the audience to shut the heck up and listen, since this is more class than you're usually subjected to at a UNWA show."

Damien Darkness clears his throat and reads his poem.

The Lord of Evil with hand held high
Mauler loses and starts to cry
The Stable of Darkness will cheer and shout
When the Hardcore Champ gets his lights knocked out
The Title of Evil will be the name
When Damien starts his title reign
A spinner of skull and blood that spurts
The groans of pain from those he hurts
The time of Darkness now has come
Everyone here better hide and run.

Damien Darkness folds up the poem and puts it back in his pocket.

"There were quite a few more verses, but you losers in the crowd can't appreciate my poetry. I'll see you in the ring, Mauler. If you dare."

The Lord of Evil fades into the darkness and disappears.

ooc: Duelling poets, hmmm, this could be an interesting angle. This RP goes right before our match.

Symphony of Destruction plays over the loud speakers as sparks fly down from the Titantron and smoke fills the ring. Mauler makes his way down to ringside and enters the ring.

The Pittsburgh Mauler: “Welcome everybody to UNWA HeatBreak. I hope you have enjoyed the show so far. I came down here for three reasons tonight. First, my match with Damien Darkness to determine the #1 contender for the Hardcore title is next. Second, I wish to address Damien's poetry. Damien, that was pretty good for a rank amateur. I wouldn't quit your day job if I were you. And lastly, I will be making an announcement at the beginning of next season that I’m sure you fans will like. All the details haven’t been finalized yet on it, so I can’t say anything just yet about it. And now, a poem for my opponent…”

Mauler pulls out a folded up piece of paper and starts to read.

The Pittsburgh Mauler:
“Damien Darkness, we finally meet at last,
You’re going to wish we hadn’t, after I put you in a body cast.
Being leader of the Stable of Darkness is only a ploy,
Because I think you are only the stable boy.
There has been many a wrestler, who has hung out in the boiler room,
You’re not the first one to think of it as your own private tomb.
You like to steal and torture other people’s souls,
We’ll see how you like it when I put your feet to the coals.”

Mauler forms his hand into the symbol of the Evil Eye for the crowd.

The Pittsburgh Mauler:
“I seriously doubt you could win the Hardcore title,
even if Ronnie James Dio is your idol.”

Mauler pulls his hand down and continues reading.

The Pittsburgh Mauler:
“I doubt you can bring enough game,
so all you'll be another stepping stone to my glory and fame.
After everything is all said and done,
you and the stable will surely be on the run.
I was going to send you to hell with your merry band,
But I found someplace worse, it’s called Cleveland.”

Mauler puts away the piece of paper.

The Pittsburgh Mauler: "My #1 fan isn't here tonight, so I'll have to give this to her later."

Mauler puts down the microphone and prepares for his match.

The lights dim and Damien Darkness appears at the top of the entrance ramp with a scowl on his face, looking at the Pittsburgh Mauler in the ring.

"You think that you can outdo me in wrestling or in poetry? Your skills are legendary in your own mind, but it is yet to be seen if you can back up your words against me in the ring."

The Lord of Evil looks out as the crowd starts to react.

"Shut up, you load of losers! Allow me to recite one more piece of poetry before the beginning of the match."

Damien Darkness pulls out a piece of paper and recites:

Mauler with your welding mask
Beating you is one more task
From the Floridian swamps you crawl
Now it's time to make you fall
You've shown you have so little class
Here I come to kick your ass!

Damien Darkness drops the poem and rushes the ring amidst the crowd boos to start the match.

(ooc - I think this will probably end it)

ooc: lol, hey... them there are fightin' words.

ooc- I think that was the whole purpose to that RP (at least, it was when I wrote it)
