A New Season (as if we needed a reason) (open to King K)

Symphony of Destruction starts playing over the loud speakers as sparks shower down from the Titantron. The Pittsburgh Mauler makes his way out to ringside, acknowledging the fans along the way. Sally is walking down to ringside with him. The two of them enter the ring and Mauler grabs a mic from the roadie.

The Pittsburgh Mauler: "Welcome everyone to a new season of the UNWA."

Mauler pauses for the crowd to cheer.

The Pittsburgh Mauler: "Over the past couple of seasons, I have been extremely busy touring the world promoting my book, the New York Times bestseller The Poetry of Wrestling. There have been many promotional events and many book signings. However, this has distracted me and my wrestling has suffered, as many of you have seen."

Mauler pauses for the crowd's reaction.

The Pittsburgh Mauler: "Well, the tour is over. It is now time for me to focus on wrestling and start winning some matches."

Mauler turns to Sally and starts talking to her.

The Pittsburgh Mauler: "Sally, I know we agreed on putting out a new book of poetry, but I really feel that I need to focus on my wrestling right now. Can we put the book on the backburner for a little bit?"

Sally: "Sure Mauler, we just can't wait too long, otherwise the hype will die down and it will be like we are starting from scratch. In the meantime, what would you like me to do?"
-
The Pittsburgh Mauler: "Would you like to escort me down to ringside and support me during my matches kind of like a personal valet?"

Sally: "Just remember, this is a business arrangement. I really don't know if I should, but it is always been a dream of mine to actually become part of the show. So, I guess I don't have a problem with doing that as long as the UNWA fans approve. Without their support, none of this would be possible."

Mauler turns towards the crowd for a response.

The Pittsburgh Mauler: "Well, everyone, what do you think?"
-
The crowd responses by cheering loudly.

The Pittsburgh Mauler: "That settles it then. The next topic is to find someone to face tonight. I was wandering around the back and I saw a new face that I hadn't seen before. Why don't we invite him out here to introduce himself and see if he measures up to the UNWA standard."

The crowd cheers.

ooc: Over to you King K. What I was planning was to come up with a poem on the spot after you introduce yourself to the crowd. Also, I did the white dashes.

Suddenly the lights go out for a few seconds then a red spotlight focuses on the rampway. The music hits

After a few seconds a man walks out onto the rampway. He is wearing all black and has black and white facepaint. His hair is spiked up and red.

He walks down to the ring with the spotlight following him.

When he gets to the edge of the ring the lights go out again.

When the red spotlight comes back on it shows the man standing in the middle of the ring staring at The Pittsburg Mauler.

Man: So you want to see if I measure up? Well let me first introduce myself. I am King K and I have travelled all over the world leaving broken bodies and federations in tatters.

You see, when I am done with people there is nothing left for the federation to use and they go out of business. So I am here to see if i have finally found one that can handle me. Now, its all good and well me telling you this but I feel I need to show you what I mean.

King K looks to the screen and two videos of the endings of matches come on.

King K: So do you still want to know if I will measure up?

The Pittsburgh Mauler: "Well, they say the proof is in the pudding. I'm sure all of our fans here tonight would like to see if you can live up to the expectations set by all of the current and former greats here at UNWA. So what do you say that you and I have a match tonight."

King K looks to the crowd who all cheer.
