Double or Nuthin'

Double enters the arena clearly agitated looking over his shoulder and jumping at the slightest sound. heading over to a group of colleges, Double quickly realizes that no member of staff dare stay close to Double in fear that BBC repercussions for Double attacking BBC's Monster Man Paulley last week may fall in their lap.. Double soon leaves the hall once again checking over his shoulder as he turns to go into his locker room [thump!]..

A dazed Double looks up to realize he had walked into the one man he did not wished to encounter... the mountain of a man looks down at Double and pulls a slight grin.. Paulley grin soon drops as his body and fists clench up..

BBC: "Whoa whoa.. hold it there big guy" says Richard Anthony as he appears from behind Double "i have some things that i need to say to double first" BBC places his palm to his head and pulls together his thumb and forefinger across his eyebrows, in between his eyes before finally moving them down to his chin as he sighs "Look Double i have given a fair chance to play ball with how things work around here, i gave you a chance here and even returned to you your family... yet in return i get a brazen act of aggression against my.. my Enforcer. These actions will no be tolerated but as you seem intent on causing problems then im going to give to you what you have had coming for a long time. You want Paulley so bad.. YOU'VE GOT HIM." Paulley's grin widens and he begins to laugh a little "At UNWA's first PPV 'Continental Carnage' it will be you and my monster Paulley one-on-one for a shot at any future UNWA Title... nothing like a little incentive to sweeten a deal now is it.. but i warn you when Paulley begins to pummel you into the ground after the match dont expect anyone to come out and save you..." BBC directs Paulley to move on and both men begin to walk away leaving Double to take in the msg.. "Oh and Double, I will be in the ring next week to sign the match. If you want it you come and you get it"

With mixed feelings Double watches the strange couple leaving. Double had secretly feared that this day would come, nonetheless had hoped his outburst last week, which had been a far too emotional reaction, would remain without consequences. Obviously not, only that he brought down this one on himself. A mistake, which was going to teach him a lesson. His training-mantra comes to Doubles mind "When an exercise starts to tire you, repeat it." Well, this "exercise" will be more then just tiresome. Nevertheless a small smile steals into Doubles eyes "One day I will be ready to repeat this successfully, until then.. living is learning. And I will not make this mistake again."
With his mind set Double makes his way to Kaluanis office, entering after a soft knock. "Say, do you have recordings of old GEW-Shows? I think I'll need to do a litte catch up" sounding more cheerful than he really feels.

Kaluani looks up from his desk, noticing Double. He nodds, then points over to a desk near some strange plant with a lot of cocoons hanging down it. Double looks a bit irritated, but nears the desk and searches its drawers.
Kaluani looks at this for a moment, then stands up, shaking his head.
Kaluani: "No,no. I meant it's there.", pointing to that plant again.
He nears the plant, knocking on on of the cocoons once... twice... and a third time, then it opens and a well-sorted file case comes to light in it.
Kaluani: "What matches do you search for?"

With disbelieve Double steps closer to the plant for a closer look then forces his eyes back to Kaluani.
"You see, Richard Anthonys meddeling in UNWA touched me on the first day here. Today he stopped bantering and "invited" me to fight Paulley to have his point clariefied and I will not back down from this one, since I made a mistake last time. Rumor has it, El Lobo sold out, buried his hate for fame, meaning there is little resistance to "influence" left...I have every intention to let BBC pay for what he did to my family, but to do so, I'll need to be in one piece after the next match. Therefore I'd like to have a look at matches Paulley lost, maybe I can spot a few possibilities to avoid being buried under a flesh mountain."

Kaluani looks with a thinking face, then smiles after some time.

Kaluani: "Well, well, BBC then? Oh, yeah, Paulley is a man you don't want to have as your enemy, but I surely have some interesting records. It's not the matches he lost, but there are other very important facts."

Kaluani starts searching in the plant's Cocoon, after some time he turns around with a folder.


Kaluani: "You can find some notes here. One thing you might find very interesting... Once, we held a tournament in GEW, and Paulley was in, but he finished the tournament without having one real obvious fight... - the judge made his way to the top clear and as he was loosing the final, he declared it a draw... BBC had his fingers in there, I am sure about that, but I never got any real evidence about that. Paulley may look like a giant monster, but he lacks the speed of a real fighter and if you can avoid his finishers, his moves lack the power sometimes. I am sure you can beat him, it's more his impressive stature then his fighting skills."

Kaluani hands over the folder to Double with a grin, then turns back to his desk.

Kaluani: "And if you beat the hell out of BBC someday, be sure to watch your back. He always has another good trump-card on his hand."

Kaluani goes back to his paperwork, then suddenly looks up to Double again, then points to Betty, his giant carnivorous plant at the entrance.

Kaluani: "Oh, and when you leave, watch your step! don't feed Betty. I mean, with yourself."

"There was a small misunderstanding. My error was, that I thought attacking the beast would hurt its master. I just made things worse. Manhandling Richard Anthony would not change a thing. No, this BBC has Paulley as his so-called "Enforcer", but physical harm towards him is neither honourable nor would it stop his influence. BBCs battlefield is outside of the ring." Double lowers his voice, so it can hardly be heard anymore "And therefore he must be beaten outside of the ring. I have been contacted by someone from Interpol about two weeks ago, just after Anthonys arrival at UNWA. It looks like they have been after him for a while and it will be them, who take BBC down. If you don't mind, I will keep this record for them, maybe that will prove useful at some point. Thanks again for your warning, I hope he hasn't another Paulley up his sleeve. If I can return you the favour, just tell me."
Before taking his leave, Double eyes the plant up and down "I heard about a missing lawn mower... I'll try to watch my step."

Kaluani smiles briefly.

"Yes, yes, stuff got lost this days... Strange that..."

After Double left his office, Kaluani stops writing for a moment, looks up for a moment.

"Hm, Interpol then? Good they are after, although I'd have enjoyed seeing Richard in the ring. Nevertheless, he is probably not the only evil here..."

With that, he turns back to work.
